Uaz owner from Poland
Hi. I'm new here and i want to welcome other Uaz fans on this forum. My name is Michał, i'm 25 years old and I live in eastern Poland.
I have great Uaz 31512 from 1992 in original condition(except frond seats and LPG instalation). In plans: -power stering from BMW -disc brakes in front axle -maybe someday swap to reliable and modern engine(2,0 16V Vitara, 1,8iS BMW, 230e MB...) I'm reading forum with Google translate, i have no clue of russian language. PS Sorry for all mistakes, I'm not the boss of english language. I hope that you can understand me. |

Just in case, if you want change engine in your UAZ, you can view Ford Colonie 2.9 for example. PS Your English is better then our Polish! |

Yes, polish 4CT90 is "plug and play" , but I want petrol engine. My cousine had 2,9 scorpio engine in Uaz and it was pretty good solution. But he had axles from Nissan Patrol. I want to find engine that will not require changing original, civil axles. |

It is more than year since i write last post here. Some photos showing how my car looks now:
And now i want to ask you about some advice. I wat to lift up Uaz, because new tires (235/85R16) are rubbing when the wheels are turned. I decided to lift partly on body(about 4cm) and partly on springs(2cm). If i'd have chance to buy parts in RU there is an easy way: http://www.4x4sport.ru/catalogue.html?id=7191 http://www.4x4sport.ru/catalogue.html?id=3187 These parts is quite cheap, but cost of delivery makes it too expensive. So there in the point. Does anybody know dimensions of "pads" which goes under body(diameter) and over springs(length and width)? I'm sorry, i can't do it by myself now(im far away from my car) but i have oportunity to buy some stuff. And which material is better? There is something in polish called "poliuretan": http://www.mudmaster.pl/img/p/677-1248-thickbox.jpg and "boramid": http://static.multipino.pl/photoOffer/p/566499_p.jpg I'm 100% sure that there is a lot of posts about it on this forum, but I know only eight words in russian, including three vulgarisms :/ Greetins from Poland. |

Personally at me to lift the body of 4 cm., are more wheel spacers 4 cm. Touches the mudguard in the corners. Bridges - narrow Spicer. The lift - at us most often are sold of "caprolon". Последний раз редактировалось Cosmopolitan; 02.02.2015 в 10:46. |

I have some big plans with my Uaz. I want to mount winch from Gaz 66 powered with PTO. I want to search some materials in "russian part of internet", but i have no idea how to write some words in cyrylic alphabet. So I want to ask You winch=лебёдки - only thing i found PTO=??? Maybe someone know some webs with pictures/schemes/etc? Thanks for help and greetings from Pulawy, 51°24′59″N 21°58′09″E |
